Recientemente os hablé de la nueva colaboración de Sting con la ascendente Ivy Levan. Desde que se conocieran en noviembre de 2013, presentados por el Presidente y fundador del sello que ambos comparten, Martin Kierszenbaum, sienten una mutua admiración. Sting invitó a Ivy a que cantara con él "Drive my car" de los Beatles en el Show de David Letterman, y ahora ella ha sido la que le ha pedido su participación en su disco de debut, "No good", que aparecerá en formato físico en Agosto.
Sting accedió y cantó a dúo con Ivy el tema "Killing you", compuesto por ella misma en colaboración con Lucas Banker y Patrick Nissley, que además se abre con un estupendo solo de bajo de Martin Kierszenbaum. Se trata de un tema muy accesible que podría convertirse en un hit y que supone una de esas raras incursiones que Sting hace últimamente dentro de la música pop (el año pasado se atrevió incluso a participar en el disco del DJ holandés Afrojack).
Ivy dijo lo siguiente con respecto al lujo de contar con alguien como Sting: "Ahí está su voz y piensas, ¡¡guau!!, esa es la voz con la que yo he crecido. Es el icónico Sting que mi madre me ponía en el coche. De alguna forma fue algo nostálgico, pero también muy natural el trabajar juntos".
