Un tema importante dentro de la gira “44/876” de Sting & Shaggy, que siempre unían a “Love is the seventh wave”, una canción de hace casi 35 años que ya poseía destacados ritmos caribeños. Sin embargo “If you can’t find love” solamente puede encontrarse en la edición deluxe siendo uno de sus 4 bonus tracks. El tema parece que le ha gustado tanto a Sting que incluso lo está tocando últimamente en su nueva gira “My songs”. Es el tema que cuenta con más compositores acreditados de todo el álbum “44/876”, un total de 10 (Sting, Shaggy, Shaun Pizzonia, Rohan Rankine, Andy Bassford, Karl Wright, Joshua Thomas, Dwayne Shippy, Dominic Miller y Martin Kierszenbaum). Por lo tanto es más que evidente que este tema surgió de una improvisación en el estudio. Uno de los tres temas que incluye la palabra “amor” en su propio título, cuenta al igual que en la mayoría de temas de “44/876” una nómina muy amplia de músicos (2 bajistas, 2 guitarras y tres teclistas). De los coros se encargaron los coristas del posterior tour, Melissa Musique y Gene Noble, y entre los músicos invitados Maggie Buckley a la flauta y al saxofón y Kamari Martin al trombón. Un tema que da mucho juego en vivo como ha podido comprobarse.
