COMENTARIO: 

En el Lucca Summer Festival 1999 participó James Taylor. Al final de su actuación hizo subir a Sting, que se encontraba como espectador, al escenario y ambos improvisaron una versión de "Knock on wood", el viejo éxito de Eddie Floyd. 20 años más tarde Sting cerró dicho festival, curiosamente era la primera vez que lo hacía como estrella principal en sus 21 años de andadura. El cantante agotó con facilidad todas las entradas presentando un espectáculo semi acústico, se recuperaron las versiones intimistas de “Roxanne” y “Russians”. Como curiosidad destacar que esta noche Sting cambió su característica camiseta azul marina por una roja. Esta edición del conocido festival italiano había contado entre otros con Ennio Morricone, Take That, Elton John, Mark Knopfler, Tears for Fears, New Order, Elbow, Scorpions o The Good, The Bad & The Queen.
