Este tema del álbum de Sting & Shaggy “44/876” es posiblemente el que menos desentonaría en un álbum de Sting como solista. La pequeña presencia de Shaggy y el tono jazzístico ayudan mucho a pensar en ello, incluso podría tratarse de un viejo tema de su etapa en Last Exit, pero ¡no!, “Waiting for the break of day” es un tema en exclusiva en el que además han tenido mucho peso los hombres de confianza de Sting y Shaggy, o lo que es lo mismo Martin Kierszenbaum y Sting International, entre ambos se despachan prácticamente la instrumentación del tema. Pero no podemos obviar el piano del gran Geoffrey Keezer, toda una personalidad en el Jazz y de cuyo talento se han beneficiado entre otros artistas Chris Botti, Christian McBride, David Sanborn o Denise Donatelli, ni los poderosos coros de Melissa Musique, que ha acompañado en su Tour por gran parte del mundo a Sting & Shaggy. El célebre productor Dwayne Shippy ayudó a Sting con el arreglo de cuerdas de este tema que probablemente sea el más inspirado, elegante y sexy de todo el álbum “44/876”.
